MANCHESTER UNITED RESTAURANT & BAR TO OPEN FIRST OUTLET IN HONG KONG

Manchester United fans and general sports fans will soon have a place to meet, eat, celebrate and watch matches at the Manchester United Restaurant & Bar in Hong Kong. Manchester United Food & Beverage (Asia) announced today that it has granted an exclusive license to Pin Point Concept Limited to open Manchester United Restaurant & Bar in Hong Kong.

MUFB Asia is the holding company with the exclusive rights to operate and sub-license Manchester United Restaurant & Bar outlets in various territories in the Asia-Pacific region. The company has already opened outlets in Singapore, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Thailand and India.

Pin Point Concept Limited will operate and develop the business in Hong Kong. The company has secured a venue in Tsim Sha Tsui and is due to open in April 2010.

"We are eager to bring the Manchester United Restaurant and Bar concept to Hong Kong, a dynamic international city with many local and expat fans as well. The restaurant and bar will be the prime meeting point for all Manchester United and all soccer fans." said Mr. Andy Yun, Chief Executive Officer of MUFB Asia. "We are confident that our collaboration with Pin Point Concept will be a success."

Mr. Thomas Lau, Director of Pin Point Concept Limited said, "We are very excited to develop the new Manchester United Restaurant & Bar in Hong Kong. Manchester United has brought excitement to football fans around the world. The football audience in Hong Kong continues to grow rapidly and I think the appeal of combining Manchester United football and our spectacular food, drinks and unparalleled service will make this a destination spot for all fans."

On top of being a venue for Manchester United fans, the restaurant’s prime location in Tsim Sha Tsui and comfortable atmosphere makes it an ideal place for everyone. The bar will have an extensive list of cocktails and drinks for the after-work crowd looking for a refuge to relax and unwind. The planned outlet will also feature Manchester United Restaurant & Bar’s signature dishes such as Manchester Combo Platter and Devils Wing as well as signature cocktails such as Red Devil and Legends. Furthermore, parents will also be pleased to know that the restaurant will be child-friendly with a special children’s menu and plenty of space to hold birthday parties for kids. Patrons will be able to watch major sporting events and Premier League matches live on state-of-the-art video walls and flat screen TVs as well as enjoy special themed parties hosted by guest DJs spinning the latest tunes.

The 150-seat restaurant & bar will feature an extensive collection of Manchester United’s authentic football memorabilia, highlighting both legendary Red Devil footballers such as Sir Bobby Charlton, George Best and Eric Cantona to its current roster of superstars such as Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs and Michael Owen.
